BALANCE/STRENGTH

The Balance and Strength Wellness Program provides supervised exercise, education and support to help older adults reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels. This program is designed to benefit those who:

 

  • Are concerned about falls

  • Have sustained falls in the past

  • Restrict activities because of concerns about falling

  • Are interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength

  • Improvement in physical function and activity level

  • Increased self-confidence for exercise

  • Increased muscle strength and endurance

  • Improved balance and stability

  • Enhanced ability to perform everyday activities

  • Ability to view falls as controllable

  • Adoption of a safe, personalized exercise program

OUR PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • A one-on-one consultation with our registered nurse and exercise physiologist

  • A comprehensive health and wellness assessment

  • Individualized, evidence-based exercise plans

  • Medically supervised, low-impact exercise sessions

  • Daily monitoring of progress, blood pressure, heart rate and pulse oximetry

  • Monthly evaluations and summary reports for your referring healthcare provider

  • Unlimited full access to the facility and its amenities

  • Transition to full membership (optional), upon completion of the program
